Updated: May 10, 2023

VISION CENTER INTERNATIONAL IS ENCOURAGING AND EMPOWERING WOMEN

Vision Center International is empowering women to actively participate in small scale businesses to help their families in these trying economic times. At a time when the unemployment rate in Nigeria is at a record high, VCI is committed to assisting as many individuals as possible, particularly women by providing the start-up capital to engage in small scale business through its Small Business Empowerment Project.

In May 2023, VCI approved the applications of three women for assistance through its Small Business Empowerment Project. The women: Lydia Adekunle, Susan Sala and Mary Ahmadu received the sum of N100,000 (One Hundred Thousand Naira) each as start off grant for their small business proposals. Lydia Adekunle was unavoidably absent at the presentation, but was represented by her friend Comfort Mamadu.

The organization will periodically monitor the businesses set up, and assist the beneficiaries ensure that it is properly managed to maximize the judicious use of the resources. VCI congratulates the beneficiaries.
