EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE PROJECT 2021/2022

Through our educational assistance project, the organization has demonstrated our passion and commitment to the welfare and educational advancement of students. The goal of VCI is to sponsor at least 100 students every year with entry fees into the university and to co-sponsor the tuition fees of some students while in the university.

In May 2021, VCI paid the sum of N246,000 (Two Hundred and Forty-Six Thousand) for the WAEC, NECO, and JAMB fees for 7 students who were eligible to take the exams in 2021.

In May 2021, we granted N780,000 (Seven Hundred and Eighty Thousand) in cash to 11 schools in the Minna metropolis. These schools participated in the debates at our opening ceremony in May 2021, they received cash awards ranging from N50,000 to N80,000 each. We also gave all the 12 schools that attended 12 printers and 12 boxes of typing paper each, valued at N333,600 (Three Hundred and Thirty-Three Thousand, Six Hundred)

In June 2021, Our organization also visited the Niger State School of Special Education and gave a cash gift of N180,000 (One Hundred and Eighty Thousand Naira) to the 18 visually impaired students that performed in songs and a drama skit at our opening ceremony. The Niger State School of Special Needs was gifted the sum of N100,000 (One Hundred Thousand Naira)

VCI has expended N2,446,600 (Two Million, Four Hundred and Forty-Six Thousand, Six Hundred) on our education initiative project as of March 2022.


In March 2022, we paid the sum of N332,500 (Three Hundred and Thirty-Two Thousand, Five Hundred) for the WAEC, NECO, and JAMB fees for 11 additional students. Vision Center International has also paid out N350,000 (Three Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira) to assist 2 undergraduate students in various universities.

In June 2022, the organization had set aside the sum of N456,000 (Four Hundred and Fifty – Six Thousand Naira) for the 16 students who were successful beneficiaries of scholarships through the 5-A- Side Soccer Competition held in June 2022. The scholarships will be disbursed as needed when the students are eligible to register for the examinations.

Also, in June 2022, VCI granted the sum of N520,000 (Five Hundred and Twenty Thousand Naira) to the 16 schools that participated in the inaugural 5 – A – Side Soccer Competition.

In July 2022, our organization replaced a broken toilet in the principal’s office at the Women Day College, Minna, at the cost of N47,000 (Forty-Seven Thousand Naira)

Our commitment to the growth of the educational system in Niger State through assistance in cash and kind to students and schools will continue as part of core objectives. In the coming year we will assist primary schools / student in collaboration with the Daniel Kolo Yisa Foundation.
